Linda Craighead

Linda W. Craighead, Ph.D., is Professor and the Director of Training in Clinical Psychology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA in the U.S. She has also been Professor at the University of Colorado where she helped establish the La Luna Center, an intensive outpatient eating disorders program. Previously, she was a faculty member in the Department of Psychology at the University of North Carolina and Director of the Psychology Clinic. Dr. Craighead developed AAT, a modification of CBT for eating problems She was the recipient of the ABCT Early Career Research Award for her work (with Albert Stunkard, M.D.) on obesity, which appeared in Lancet and Archives of General Psychiatry. She has served on the Board of Directors of the ABCT and the Council of University Directors of Clinical Psychology, having also served as President for two years. Most recently she developed the Healthy Eating and Weight Services (HEWS) program in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University. She has given numerous workshops at national and international meetings, and she has published more than 80 papers and 3 books including her AAT book and a Psychopathology book.
